These terms explain the rules for using our website at soar.ltd, run by SOAR Worldwide Limited (company number 11783628, registered office 129 High Street, Teddington, TW11 8HJ). By using the site you accept these terms and agree to follow them; if you do not agree, please do not use it. We recommend you keep a copy for future reference. Our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy also apply to your use of the site.

1. Access and availability

Our site is free to use. We do not guarantee that it, or any content on it, will always be available or uninterrupted, and we may suspend, withdraw or change any part of it without notice. You are responsible for the arrangements you need to access the site, and for making sure anyone who uses it through your internet connection knows about these terms.

2. Not professional advice

Content on our site is general information about accountancy, tax and sustainability. It is not advice and does not take account of your circumstances. Tax rules, reporting standards and sustainability frameworks change often, so content may be out of date, and we are under no obligation to update it. You should get advice tailored to you before acting, or deciding not to act, on anything on our site. We only give advice under a signed engagement letter.

3. No client relationship

Using our site or sending us an enquiry does not create a client relationship. Please do not send confidential or sensitive information until we have agreed to act for you.

4. Intellectual property

We own or license all intellectual property in our site and the material on it, including text, graphics, logos, guides and downloads. You may print one copy, and download extracts, of any page for your own use, and may draw the attention of others in your organisation to our content. You must not alter any copy, use images or graphics separately from the text that goes with them, or use our content for commercial purposes without our written permission. Our status as author must always be acknowledged. If you breach this paragraph, your right to use the site ends and you must return or destroy any copies you have made.

5. Acceptable use

You may use our site only for lawful purposes. You must not:

  • use it in a way that breaches any law or regulation, or is fraudulent;
  • send unsolicited advertising or promotional material through it;
  • copy, reproduce or resell any part of it in breach of these terms;
  • try to gain unauthorised access to the site, the server it is stored on, or any connected server, computer or database;
  • interfere with, damage or disrupt the site, its software, or any equipment or network it relies on.

6. Viruses and attacks

We do not guarantee that our site is secure or free from bugs or viruses, so please use your own virus protection. You must not knowingly introduce viruses, malware or other harmful material, or attack the site through a denial-of-service attack. Doing so may be a criminal offence under the Computer Misuse Act 1990; we will report any such breach to the authorities and co-operate with them, including by disclosing your identity, and your right to use the site will end immediately.

8. Linking to our site

You may link to our home page in a way that is fair and lawful and does not damage or take advantage of our reputation. You must not suggest any association with, or endorsement by, us that does not exist. Our site must not be framed on any other site, and we may withdraw permission to link at any time.

9. Our liability

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot be limited under English law. Otherwise, and to the extent the law allows, we exclude all implied conditions, warranties and representations about our site and its content. We are not liable to any user, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty or otherwise, even if foreseeable, for any loss arising from:

  • use of, or inability to use, our site;
  • use of, or reliance on, any content on our site;
  • a virus, denial-of-service attack or other harmful material that affects your equipment, programs or data through your use of our site or any linked site.

In particular, we are not liable for loss of profits, sales, business or revenue, business interruption, loss of anticipated savings, loss of business opportunity, goodwill or reputation, or any indirect or consequential loss.

10. Governing law

These terms, their subject matter and their formation are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
